TAEQ activities promote co-existence between Jewish and Arab Israelis, between Israelis and Palestinians, and between Israelis and countries of the Middle East and beyond.
- “Partnership for Peace” is a three-year program sponsored by the EU and operated by TAEQ in partnership with the Ramallah based Center for Environmental Diplomacy. In this program, Israeli and Palestinian environmental professionals design and implement solutions related to wastewater treatment, solid waste management, hazardous and medical wastes, organic agriculture and youth leadership.
- In 2007, TAEQ’s Executive Director, Dr. Hussein Tarabeih, participated in drafting the environmental accord presented in preparation for the Annapolis Peace Conference.
- TAEQ provides consulting regarding ways to improve wastewater treatment in Egypt, and in the Palestinian Authority.
- In 1994, TAEQ staff participated in the bilateral negotiations on environmental topics that were part of the peace accord between Israel and Jordan.
