Jobs/Volunteer

There is something for everyone at TAEQ.  Whatever you choose to do, you’ll become part of an expanding circle of influence that promotes positive change in the environment as well as co-existence and dialogue in the Middle East.

Environmental Education
Become part of the educational experience at TAEQ’s Green Building, where students are introduced to central ecological topics such as: energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources, wastewater treatment and management, recycling of solid urban waste, ecological agriculture and green construction. Volunteers help with leading group visits, administration, and promotion of TAEQ’s programs in the community.

Hands-On Activism

TAEQ volunteers help in the cleanup of the area's water and open spaces.  Participants make an important contribution to the environment, while developing close working relationships with a diverse group of activists – Jews and Arabs, young and old.

Academic Mentoring
At TAEQ, high school and university students conduct independent research projects.  TAEQ is in need of qualified mentors – with a degree in environmental science, or relevant professional experience – to supervise individual students.

Field Research
Volunteers collect the data and perform measurements that TAEQ’s professionals use in their scientific research. Volunteers also monitor the implementation of recycling and reclamation projects.

To become a volunteer you must...

  • be at least 18 years, although younger volunteers are welcome to assist on supervised projects.
  • be willing to work at least one 4 hour shift per week. Of course, more than that is never a problem!
  • have an up-to-date tetanus vaccination.
  • attend one orientation session.

To learn more, contact volunteers@taeq.org.  And check our Events Calendar for updated orientation listings.
